Adam Hakken, most often known simply by his last name. Hails from Savlar, where he worked maintaining the gigantic chemical pumps, which keep the mines somewhat inhabitable. Having taken up the offer of joining the Savlar Chem-Dogs, he left the corrosive hellhole of its mines to "Serve the Emperor". His motivations erred towards the usual chem dog side, that being, "Anywhere is better than Savlar", and "I get to steal anything that isn't nailed down".
Hakken's Vocation[]
Hakken swiftly gained an affinity for fire, after Acquiring a Magnus Pattern Hydra Flamer array, an exceptionally rare flamer weapon, consisting of a pair of flame projectors worn on either arm, it was designed to provide a hidden option for witch hunters, wearing it under heavy clothing, with the fuel distributed around the body in small tanks. He modified the weapon to draw fuel from a single, large tank, and increased the pressure, using expertise gained from his work with the Savlar chem pumps. The resulting weapon, he christened "Woof." After a very poor joke, namely. "How do you make a heretic go woof? Cover 'im in promethium, and set 'im alight."
Joining the 8th[]
Hakken's road to the 8th Penal legion was a simple one. He was simply nearby when his unit was slaughtered. The commissar, curiously, was killed by a flamer, where the rest were killed with lasguns.
